Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss as well as the mother of her is English. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She graduated with a BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at school she appeared in several stage productions, such as King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress with the film Storm Damage. She's appeared as a guest for Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. She also had the opportunity to play the part in the role of Bambi on The ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the series two and three. Madekwe was a star in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 drama The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe's departure from the series was confirmed in May 2013. After two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the first episode of season 3. She played Tituba in the show Salem between 2014 and 2016. From June to July 2012, she got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in an extended family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty along with her older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey during the summer and winter. She grew up in baseball and arenas. Ashley had never been able to walk. She was a dancer. When she reached just 2 1/2 years old and a half, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance following this. Ashley was a professional dancer across all major categories until the time she graduated from high school. The competitions she participated in included ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and Acrobatics. Ashley was awarded the best individualist in all the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
